The Craig County soccer team had their home opener last week and, like their first two games on the road, they weren’t able to find the net. The Rockets lost 10-0 to Eastern Montgomery at Mitchell Field.
“Our goalie had a couple nice saves,” said Craig coach Crystal Hickman, who was looking for her first win as head coach when the Rockets hosted the Boys’ Home of Virginia on Monday of this week. Results were too late for publication.
The Rockets are home again next Tuesday, May 6, to host Narrows in a Pioneer District game. They’ll wrap up the spring season on May 9 with a trip to Covington to play the Boys’ Home.
