Olivia Garman, a 2017 graduate of Craig County High School, has been named Player of the Year in softball in Region X of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Garman is a first year player for Louisburg Junior College in Sumter, South Carolina. Playing first base and outfield for the Hurricanes, Olivia batted .565 during the regular season with 10 home runs and 41 runs batted in. She was a four year varsity player at Craig, where she also pitched.
Louisburg recently won the Region X tournament, defeating Spartanburg Methodist in the championship game.
