Craig County schools release 2026-27 supply lists

July 14, 2026
in Education, Local Stories

Craig County Public Schools has released classroom supply lists for students in preschool through eighth grade for the 2026-27 school year.

The lists include grade-specific classroom materials for students at McCleary Elementary School, while Craig County Middle School issued a general supply list for all middle school students.

Elementary school supply lists vary by grade but commonly include pencils, crayons or colored pencils, notebooks, folders, glue sticks, scissors, erasers, dry-erase markers and water bottles. Several grade levels also request wired headphones and changes of clothes for younger students.

Many elementary classrooms also included optional donation wish lists for items such as tissues, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, paper towels, washable markers and resealable plastic bags.

Craig County Middle School students are asked to bring four 1 1/2-inch binders for core subjects, three composition notebooks, pocket folders with prongs, blue or black ink pens, pencils, loose-leaf paper, erasers, markers, glue sticks and highlighters.

The middle school also encourages, but does not require, students to bring a wireless mouse, a locker shelf or locker organization kit, wired earbuds or headphones, and colored pencils.

Optional classroom donations for middle school include tissues, pencils, pencil-top erasers, 7-inch scissors and sandwich-size, quart-size or gallon-size resealable bags.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to review the grade-level lists before purchasing supplies to ensure students have the materials needed for the start of the school year.
