At its June meeting, the Craig County School Board recognized Hannah McCoy as Craig County Public Schools’ Employee of the Month for May.

School officials praised McCoy for exemplifying the values and practices expected throughout the division. According to the recognition, she understands the importance of building respectful relationships with students and families and is able to quickly establish positive connections with her students.

Officials said those relationships allow McCoy to provide high-quality instruction from the first day students enter her classroom. They also noted that she creates a calm and positive learning environment while delivering engaging lessons that encourage students to reach their full potential.

The school division described McCoy as bringing a natural talent to Craig County Public Schools and called her a valuable asset to the team.
