The Craig County Board of Supervisors selected its leadership and made administrative appointments during its annual organizational meeting Jan. 8.

Jordan Labiosa, Craig City District; Brian Lipes, Simmonsville District; Dunbar; and Bailey voted in favor of the nomination. Spence abstained from the vote.

The board also elected Labiosa as vice chairman. Bailey nominated Labiosa, and Dunbar seconded the motion. Lipes, Dunbar, Bailey and Spence voted in favor, while Labiosa abstained.

In other action, supervisors appointed Robert R. “Dan” Collins as clerk to the board, zoning administrator and subdivision agent. Spence made the motion, which Bailey seconded. Lipes, Dunbar, Bailey and Spence voted in favor, while Labiosa abstained.

The votes were part of the board’s annual reorganization, during which members select leadership positions and confirm key administrative roles for the coming year.
