Craig County Public Schools reported that all students, staff, and a cyclist involved in a bus incident on the morning of Aug. 12 are safe.
The district said Bus 2 was involved in an accident with a bicyclist. No students were injured. Following the incident, students were assessed by the school nurse, provided breakfast, and were not marked absent or tardy.
Officials thanked first responders and the community for their support and patience while the situation was addressed. The district said more information will be shared as it becomes available.
