Salem Stadium is the home of the Roanoke College football team.

Head coach Bryan Stinespring and the Roanoke College football team released the 2025 schedule Friday, February 21, with 10 games on the slate.

The program is joining the Division III and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) ranks in 2025 after competing last fall as a club sport. The Maroons finished the season 4-0 with two home games and two road contests. This is the first season of varsity football since 1942, when it was forced to disband the program because of the constraints of World War II.

“We are extremely excited to announce our Fall 2025 schedule,” said coach Stinespring. “It is a great opportunity and a tremendous challenge. We can’t wait to see you in Salem Stadium for Saturdays in the Fall.”

The Maroons open the season at home on Saturday, Sept. 6 against the Virginia University of Lynchburg. Salem Stadium, already the home of Salem High School’s Spartans near Roanoke’s Elizabeth Campus, will serve as the Maroons home field and all home contests this year will have 2 p.m. kickoffs.

The Maroons travel to Greensboro College Sept. 13 before a bye week. The ODAC portion of the schedule opens with a home date on Sept. 27 against Gallaudet University. RC hosts defending ODAC champion Randolph-Macon College on Oct. 4, and will also host conference foes Shenandoah University (Oct. 18) and Guilford College (Nov. 1).

Other ODAC road contests include Bridgewater College (Oct. 11), Hampden-Sydney College (Oct. 25), Washington & Lee University (Nov. 8) and Averett University (Nov. 15).

Complete ticket information will be released at a later date.
