Salem Stadium was packed for the first Roanoke College club football game last fall. This season the Maroons will be competing against Varsity teams in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

The Roanoke College athletic department has announced that tickets for the 2025 football season will go on sale Tuesday, July 1. This is the first season of varsity football for the College since 1942, when it was forced to disband the program because of the constraints of World War II.

Tickets will be sold for $10 individually or $40 for all five home games if purchased online in advance. Tickets purchased at the gate on game day will be $15.

The Maroon football program is joining the Division III and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) ranks in 2025 after competing last fall as a club sport. The Maroons finished the season 4-0 with two home games and two road contests.

The Maroons open the season at home on Saturday, Sept. 6 against the Virginia University of Lynchburg. Salem Stadium, near Roanoke’s Elizabeth Campus, will serve as the Maroons home field and four of the five home contests this year will have 2 p.m. kickoffs. The home finale vs. Guilford will have a 6 p.m. kickoff.

The ODAC portion of the schedule opens with a home date on Sept. 27 against Gallaudet University. RC hosts defending ODAC champion Randolph-Macon College on Oct. 4, and will also host conference foes Shenandoah University (Oct. 18) and Guilford College (Nov. 1).

Promotions for the 2025 season include:

Sept. 6: vs. Virginia University of Lynchburg – Maroon Out 2 p.m.

Sept. 27: vs. Gallaudet University – Deaf Awareness 2 p.m.

Oct. 4: vs. Randolph-Macon College – Breast Cancer Awareness 2 p.m.

Oct. 18: vs. Shenandoah University – Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Virginia 2 p.m.

Nov. 1: vs. Guilford College – Military/First Responders & Canned Food Drive 6 p.m.
