The Pioneer District track meet is scheduled to be held on the Giles High School track today beginning at 10 am. The Rockets ran on that same track last Wednesday and had some good results in a very competitive meet in Pearisburg.
Noah Paxton took seventh place in the shot put last week and was also ninth in the discus. Bentley Smith was seventh in the high jump and eighth in the 300 hurdles.
Carter Calfee finished seventh in the 100 meter dash at Giles while teammate Bradyn Dunbar was ninth in that event. Dunbar was also 10th in the 200.
Dylan Sarver was ninth in the 400 and Brad Arthurs was ninth in the 110 hurdles.
