The Craig County Public Library Friends of the Library (FOL) committee invites YOU to SAVE THE DATE for our upcoming annual FOL meeting with special guest author Martin Clark. Martin Clark is the author of six books with his newest title, The Plinko Bounce, being discussed during the meeting. Martin Clark will join us at the Craig County High School Auditorium on Sunday, May 4th, 2025 @ 2 pm. The event is free with priority registration for current FOL members.
Martin Clark is a retired circuit court judge from Patrick County, VA. Mr. Clark is noted as one of the youngest judges in history appointed to the bench in the Commonwealth as he was thirty-two years of age at the time. His experience as a circuit court judge is evident in his career as a legal thriller author. Sarah Lyall, a New York Times writer, stated in a review of Clark’s The Plinko Bounce that he “brings an insider’s knowledge of the intricacies of the courtroom and an evenhanded, unflashy authority to his writing. His characters seem airlifted from another era when lawyers were honest and courteous and believed in one another’s good intentions.”
Clark’s novels have appeared on multiple bestseller lists as well as numerous recognitions and awards for his novels from the New York Times, the Washington Post, Bookmarks Magazine, and the Boston Globe. He is the author of six books including The Plinko Bounce, The Substitution Order, The Jezebel Remedy, The Many Aspects of Mobile Home Living, Legal Limits, and Plain Heathen Mischief. The Craig County Public Library FOL is ecstatic to host Martin Clark and hopes you will join us in welcoming him to Craig County as well as supporting your local library by attending and/or becoming a FOL member.
