Richard Lee Stotler, born April 4, 1958, departed this life on Sunday, June 16, to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. At the age of 66, Richard leaves behind a legacy of simplicity and love, remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Richard was a humble man who asked for very little in life. He cherished his time with his beloved kitty cats and held a special place in his heart for the many people who were dear to him.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Good Samaritan Hospice for their compassionate care during Richard’s illness and passing. Special thanks also go to Amy Horton for her dedicated care; Richard loved you, Amy. Our heartfelt appreciation is also extended to Lenny and Lori McDonald for the love and support you both gave to Richard. He cherished the time spent with you, fellowshipping in the Lord’s presence.
A memorial service to celebrate Richard’s life was held on Saturday, June 29, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, New Castle, VA, in the fellowship hall.
Richard’s gentle spirit and devotion will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live in the hearts of those who loved him.
