ROANOKE—Building Specialists, Inc. (BSI) announced the leadership promotion of Michael R. Bennett as vice president week. Bennett will work in conjunction with President Robert H. Fetzer to lead the company in its 49th year in business.

“This promotion is very well deserved based on Michael’s accomplishments and long-standing dedication to Building Specialists and our valued clients. I am excited to work with Michael in a leadership role to move our company into our 50th year,” Fetzler said.

Bennett has been with BSI for 7 years. In his most recent role with the company, he was senior project manager where he oversaw numerous fast-track commercial capital improvement projects ranging in size from minor renovations to multi-floor up-fits projects for Roanoke City Public Schools, Elizabeth Arden, Excel Truck Group, Pheasant Ridge, Vistar, VWCC, Kroger Company, Bank of Botetourt, Freedom First Credit Union, Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center, Roanoke College, VDOT, Craig County and Hidden Valley Country Club. With over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, he has also managed projects for Carilion Clinic, Allstate Insurance, Valley View Mall, Friendship Manor and more.
