The Craig County Rockets soccer team was scheduled to open Pioneer District tournament play on Tuesday with a game at Narrows.

The Rockets come into the tournament at 1-9-2 while Narrows finished the regular season at 2-11-1. In the two regular season meetings Narrows won once, 4-0, and the other game ended in a 1-1 draw. Tuesday’s winner advances to the tournament semifinal round on Thursday.

The Rockets dropped their last three games of the regular season last week. It was “Senior Night” on Monday, May 8, as Craig fell to the Covington Boys’ Home team, 9-3. Bryce Drake scored all three goals for the Rockets and Alex Drake assisted on two.

On Tuesday of last week Bath County roughed up the Rockets, 13-0, and on Thursday Craig fell to Covington High, 6-1, in Covington.
