Kenneth Lee Harden

Kenneth Lee Harden, 80, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, with his daughters by his side. Kenneth was born Jan. 26, 1942, and lived in Craig County his entire life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Margaret Harden; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Rebecca Harden; sister, Bonnie Harden; and brother-in-law, James Anderson.

He is survived by daughters, Jody Yearout (Dennis), Nicki Campbell (Brian), and Tammy Todd (Chris); four grandchildren, Caleb Todd, Emma Todd, Bristol Yearout, and Addison Yearout; sisters, Linda Strickler (Tommy) and Reta Anderson; and nephew, Keith Harden (Michelle). Kenneth was blessed in the last years of his life to have a wonderful caretaker, Juanita Bennett.

Kenneth retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation with 41 years of service. He loved hunting, running heavy equipment and the Yankees.

Funeral Services will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023 at Paitsel Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Altizer officiating. Interment will follow at the Crossroads Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 11 a.m., one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Field of Dreams, PO Box 371, New Castle, VA 24127.
