This Halloween, many people in Craig will try to provide a fun and safe event for local kids.

This year there are several who have already set the dates and times for their events.

Oct. 29:

  • Level Green Christian Church – 3-5 p.m. There will be fun, games and trunk or treat.

Oct. 31:

  • Craig Valley Baptist Church – 6-8 p.m. The church will also be giving away free hot cocoa, cider and coffee and snacks as well as their trunk or treat.
  • Cornerstone Church New Castle – Hallow Harvest – 5-8 p.m. Candy treats, games, food, and fun activities will be at the picnic shelter.
  • Lighthouse Baptist – 5-7 p.m., tract or treat
  • Grace Baptist – 6-8 p.m., drive through trunk or treat

People are encouraged to take a flashlight if they are walking and to go in groups.

Many community members have already decorated their homes for the special night of fun for the kids, young and old. There are goblins, spiders and skeletons everywhere, while others have filled their yards with hay bales, decorated corn stalks, pumpkins and cute scarecrows.
