Welch, June Phyllis

Born on June 18, 1935, Phyllis June Welch went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, May 21, in her home surrounded by her family.


She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of New Castle and remained active until her health prevented her from attending. She was preceded in death by parents; Lennie and Robert Welch, grandson; Isaac Kendall, sisters; Shirley Welch and Barbara Ellington.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Harry (Bob) Kendall, children; Janice Fridley and husband Robert, Barbara (Tiny) and husband David, Harry (Bo) Kendall and wife Brenda, Frances Kendall and Gary, Kenneth (Kenny) Kendall and Missy, Donna Old and husband Sam, Carol Owens and husband Barry, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, sister; Opal Horn, brother; Robert Welch and wife Rosie, brother; Harry Welch and wife Brenda, numerous nieces and nephews.

Thanks to her caregivers of the last several months, Renee Fridley, Olivia Slusher, Val Vest, Alyssa Klotter, Laura Nelson, and Debbie Caldwell.  A special thank you to Dr. Robert Keeley for not giving up on her last Fall and allowing the Lord to use him to give us these last few months with mom. The family received friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, at First Baptist Church. A funeral service was held  at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, at First Baptist church with Kevin Altizer and Steve Putney officiating.  Interment followed at Crossroads Church Cemetery.
