The Craig County track team competed in the Conference 45 track meet at Radford High School last Thursday.
Olivia Menezes had a great day for the Rockets, placing in three events. Olivia was second in the long jump at 15’ 1.5” and also took thirds in the 100 and 200 meter dashes. She competed in the triple jump and was 10th.
Lynsey Taylor took a second in the 3,200 meter run with a time of 13:20.34. Taylor was fifth in the 1,600.
Autumn Huffman placed in both throwing events, taking fourth in the discus and sixth in the shot put. Tierrney Zysk was eighth in the shot and 10th in the discus.
Rounding out the girls’ team was Alexis Andrews, who was 10th in both the 800 and 1,600.
For the boys, Dalton Frango was 11th in the 100 and 12th in the 200.
The Region 1A West meet will be this Saturday at Radford University.
