Carilion asking community to complete assessment surveys in Craig County

Pam Dudding

Contributing writer

There are many surveys done amongst communities to keep up with research but also to help a community to assess areas of need.

Jim Cady is assisting the Carilion Clinic in spearheading a Carilion Clinic Community Health Assessment survey within Craig County to obtain information about certain topics that Craig County has no data on or needs updated data.

There are results of surveys from three years ago, however Craig County did not participate.

“I’m hoping for a good survey response this year,” Cady shared.

Cady has placed paper copies for community members use in; the county office, health department, health care clinic, library and Katie’s Animal Grooming or one may click on the barcode on the form.

“Communities come in many sizes, shapes and colors, and as a result, community health improvement efforts also vary. In the midst of all this variety is one constant: people working together. Our key partners in this work- HRV, Roanoke City and Alleghany Health District, and YOU!” Carilion shared.
