The Craig County Board of Supervisors on December 3rd , 2026, at 6 pm,
or soon thereafter at the Craig County Courthouse, 182 Main Street in New
Castle, Virginia, to consider amending the Zoning Ordinance to include
Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU’s) to align with the new state code SB 531
to be included in all Residential Zoning districts R-1, RR, except A-1 that will
require a Conditional Use Permit. The new ordinance addresses septic and
sewer, size, setbacks and fees.
Public comments on the ordinance may be submitted in writing to the
County Administration Office, P.O. Box 308, New Castle, Virginia 24127, by
calling 540-864-5010, or in person at the public hearing.
