Craig County Public Schools has recognized Gerri VanDyke as its July Employee of the Month, honoring her dedication to supporting the division’s schools, staff and leadership.
VanDyke is described as someone who is always willing to step in and do whatever is needed. Her contributions have included assisting the ground crew with preparations, helping plan convocation and making sure new staff members feel welcomed and supported.
Much of VanDyke’s work takes place behind the scenes, involving countless details that often go unnoticed but play an important role in keeping the school division running smoothly.
She also serves as a trusted resource for the division’s leadership, helping keep things organized, anticipating what needs to be done and providing sound advice and historical perspective.
“Mrs. VanDyke brings dedication and professionalism to CCPS and is a tremendous asset to our division and me personally,” the school division said in announcing the recognition. “Her willingness to help wherever needed and her commitment to our staff and division often do not get the credit it deserves.”
Craig County Public Schools expressed its appreciation for VanDyke’s service and recognized her as an important part of the school division.
