Richmond, VA — Virginia Amateur Sports, Inc., organizers of the Virginia Commonwealth Games, is proud to announce a new three-year sponsorship agreement with VCU Health, establishing a collaboration focused on promoting health, wellness, youth development, and community engagement throughout the Commonwealth.
As the Presenting Partner of the Virginia Commonwealth Games, VCU Health will play an integral role in supporting one of Virginia’s largest multi-sport festivals to advance a shared mission of encouraging active lifestyles, expanding access to athletic participation, and improving the overall health and well-being across the region.
The partnership comes at an exciting time as the Virginia Commonwealth Games begin a new chapter in the Richmond Region, where the Games will be hosted from 2026 through 2028.
For more than 37 years, the Virginia Commonwealth Games have provided opportunities for athletes of all ages and abilities to pursue healthy lifestyles, build confidence, foster teamwork, and experience the lifelong benefits that sports participation provides.

The Virginia Commonwealth Games annually welcome thousands of athletes competing in more than 30 sports while generating significant economic impact and creating opportunities for youth and families to experience the positive power of sport.
The 2026 Virginia Commonwealth Games will take place throughout the Richmond Region, highlighted by the Opening Ceremonies and Tailgate Party on July 24, at the River City Sportsplex in Midlothian.
