WAITEVILLE — The Waiteville Community Center Inc. will hold its annual meeting July 18 from 6 to 9 p.m., offering community members an opportunity to learn about recent accomplishments, ongoing renovation needs and future plans for the historic facility.

The meeting will focus on renovations completed at the Waiteville Community Center during 2025-26, projects that remain unfinished and plans for improvements and activities during 2026-27. Organizers also will invite community members to share ideas for future programs and discuss opportunities to become involved with the center.

The evening will begin with a community cookout featuring hot dogs, coleslaw, chili, drinks and a cake celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary. Attendees are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert to share.

Following the meal, local musicians from Monroe County and Craig County will present a country music program.

Organizers said the event is open to all community members and there is no charge to attend.

The annual meeting is intended to encourage community support for the historic Waiteville School building and help guide the future direction of the Waiteville Community Center.
