ROCKETS ON ALL-PIONEER SOFTBALL TEAM

Kammie Fisher is first team All-Pioneer District.

Kammie Fisher is first team All-Pioneer District.

The All-Pioneer District softball team was released last week and Craig County had half a dozen girls recognized.

Pitcher Kammie Fisher is a first team All-Pioneer selection. Second team honors went to Jenna Boitnotte at third base, Kallie Fisher at shortstop and Dalieigh Donithan in the outfield. Craig also had two girls named Honorable Mention, Rae Stamper and Aleah Owens.

Virginia High School League championships will be held at the James I. Moyer Sports Complex in Salem this weekend. In Class 1 semifinals are Friday at 10 am and 12:30 pm and the championship game is at 11 am on Saturday. Teams still alive at press time were Auburn, Honaker, Rappahannock, William Campbell, Buffalo Gap, Lancaster, Eastside and George Wyther. All games are on Field 3.

Class 2 semifinals and finals will be held at the same time on Field 1.

Kallie Fisher is second team all-district.
Jenna Boitnotte is second team all-district.
Daileigh Donithan is second team all-district.
Aleah Owens is Honorable Mention all-district.
Rae Stamper is Honorable Mention all-district.
