Craig County Public Schools announced that the elementary playgrounds and main gym will close beginning Monday, May 25, as construction and improvement projects continue on campus throughout the summer.
School officials said the elementary playgrounds will remain closed during the construction period, and access to portions of the campus will be limited to help ensure the safety of students, families, staff and contractors.
In addition, the main gym also will be closed to all individuals and groups beginning May 25 while construction work is underway.
School officials said information regarding athletic practices, workouts and open gym opportunities will be coordinated and shared with parents once construction schedules become clearer.
Craig County Public Schools thanked the community for its patience, flexibility and understanding as the division works to improve facilities for students and the community.
