LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND PUBLIC HEARINGS: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) & HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP (HOME) ANNUAL ACTION PLAN
The Town of Blacksburg and the New River Valley HOME Consortium (NRVHC) invite public Comments to inform the development of the 2026-27 Annual Action Plan for Blacksburg’s CDBG Program & NRVHC’s HOME Program. The Annual Action Plan describes how the Town and NRVHC plan to use funding from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD)to support low income affordable housing and community development programs from July1, 2026 Through June30,2027.
A public hearing on the development of the Annual Action Plan will be held Wed, March4, 2026 at 12:00 pm (virtual) and Wed, March 4, 2026 at 5:00 PM (in person)
A public hearing on the draft of the Annual Action Plan will be held Wed, May14, 2026 at 12:00 pm (virtual) and Wed, May 14, 2026 at 5:00 PM (in person)
Materials related to this proposal and link for virtual meetings will be available to the public prior To the scheduled hearings at Blacksburg.gov/HUDreport
30-Day Public Comment Period on the development of the Annual Action Plan will begin February 26, 2026 and end on March 29, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
30-Day Public Comment Period on the draft Annual Action Plan will begin April 8, 2026 and end on May 8, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
