The Town of New Castle has received a grant to install a pickleball court at the town park, across from Craig Valley Baptist Church on Salem Avenue. Mayor Lenny Macdonald has been heading up the project, with help from others. Work is said to be progressing nicely, and this will be the first pickleball court available in Craig County. Work should be completed within a month.
