Football practice for the 2025 Craig County High School football season begins on Thursday of this week. Players will arrive at the school no later than 3 pm and practice will go until approximately 8:30 pm.
The Rockets will have two-a-days on Thursday and Friday of this week and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday of next week with no practice on Thursday, which is Back to School Night. On that night there will be a Mandatory Fall Sports Meeting in the auditorium at 6:15 pm for all Fall athletes and their parents or guardians.
“We’ve had a tremendous off-season,” said Craig football coach and athletic director Jim Fisher. “The kids have worked very hard.”
The Rockets open the season at home on August 29 against Montcalm. They have a home scrimmage against James River on Friday, August 15.
