The Craig-New Castle Public Service Authority (PSA) has been through some changes, and Donnie Wayne Jones has been there through it all. After 45 years of service, 41 of which he was the administrator, Jones will retire at the end of June. At the June 3rd retirement ceremony, C.Jordan Labiosa, PSA Chairman, read the following statement;
“It’s an honor to serve as Chairman tonight and to recognize and thank someone whose leadership and dedication have shaped our community in immeasurable ways. Donnie Wayne Jones has served the Craig–New Castle Public Service Authority with steadfast commitment for 41 years — a milestone that speaks volumes about his work ethic, integrity, and heart for public service.
Donnie has been the constant through decades of change, challenges, and progress. His institutional knowledge and practical wisdom have guided the PSA through infrastructure improvements, emergency responses, and day-to-day operations — always with the best interest and health of our citizens in mind. His fingerprints are quite literally on the water lines and systems that serve our families, our businesses, and our future. Tonight, we don’t just mark the end of a long career — we celebrate a legacy of service. Donnie, on behalf of the PSA Board, our county leadership, our town leadership, and the grateful residents of Craig County, thank you for your four decades of dedication. Your impact will be felt for generations to come.”
