The Craig County soccer team competed in the Region 1C tournament this week, opening with a game at Galax. The Rockets lost in the first round, 13-0.
“We only had 11 players and we didn’t have any subs but they gave it their best,” said Craig coach Crystal Hickson. “I was very proud of them working together since we didn’t have any subs.”
The Rockets finished the season without a win but have a solid group who will return next spring.
