The Waiteville Community Center’s annual Memorial Day Dinner will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025. The meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the cost will be $15 for adults, $10 for children over 5, and children under 5 will be free. Both dine in and take away options are available. The menu will be a choice of ham or chicken, scalloped potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, roll, dessert and drink. Those who plan to purchase over five take away meals should notify Shelby Jennings at 304-772-5503 or shelbyjennings1958@hotmail.com before the day of the event.
The WCC is selling Spring Raffle Tickets for a Taurus 38 Special pistol and a Ruger 308 rifle. Tickets are $1 and available from WCC board members, at the Memorial Day Dinner, Farmers Day on June 7, the WCC Annual Meeting on Sept. 13, Cooking Event on Oct. 11 and Painting Event on Nov. 8.
The Waiteville Community Center needs donations to continue restoration of the building. Donations can be dropped off at the Memorial Day Dinner or mailed to: Waiteville Community Center, C/O Shelby Jennings, 7644 Waiteville Road, Waiteville, WV 24984.
