Once again the student-athletes at Craig County High School have proven to be good sports. The “Stay in the Game” list of Virginia High School League schools who did not have a player ejected in any sports event in the fall season was released and the Rockets made the list.
“Another great fall season for Craig,” said Craig County High athletic director Carrie Hutton. “I do my best to keep coaches and athletes in check.”
Out of all the Classes, 1-6, Class 1 had the highest percentage of schools to do this well. Other Pioneer District schools on the list are Bath County, Eastern Montgomery, Highland County and Narrows.
“It’s been quite a while since we’ve had someone ejected, and that’s something we’re proud of,” said Hutton. “The winter season list should be coming out soon and we’ll be on the list again.”
