The Craig County basketball teams had a busy schedule last week until the snow and ice arrived, postponing all sports in the county last week.
Both Craig County teams were scheduled to play Bath County last week but those games have been rescheduled for February 6 with the boys at home and the girls at Bath. Also, the doubleheader with Giles scheduled for New Castle on January 4 has yet to be rescheduled.
This week the Craig girls were hoping to get in a game with Narrows in New Castle on Tuesday. The boys are going to Narrows today, Wednesday, and both teams are scheduled to play Parry McCluer on Thursday, with the boys at home and the girls heading to Buena Vista.
On Saturday the boys team will play at James River. The jayvees will play at noon with the boys to follow.
Next Monday, January 20, the girls are scheduled to host Christiansburg. On Tuesday the 21st both teams have big Pioneer District games with the Eastern Montgomery. The boys jayvee and varsity will host the Mustangs in New Castle while the girls head to Elliston.
Finally, a week from today on January 22, the Craig boys will head to Covington for a game with the Boys’ Home team.
