“This fund is being created to honor Coach Green’s legacy and service to Roanoke College and the Roanoke Valley Community,” said Belton. “It will support his continued efforts to impact students’ lives now and in the future.”
The recipients of The Coach Ed Green Fund must demonstrate financial need and embody Green’s values of leadership, academic excellence, extracurricular involvement and community service. Scholarships will be awarded for room and board. Students who benefit will receive a copy of Green’s legacy and contribution to Roanoke College and the Roanoke Valley.
A donation of any amount is welcome, and a list of donors will be presented to Green. Checks can be mailed to Roanoke College, Advancement Office, Attn: Suzanne Hiner, 221 College Lane, Salem, VA 24153. Make your check payable to Roanoke College and on the memo line put “Ed Green Fund.”
