The Craig County girls ended their volleyball season last week.

The Craig County girls saw their 2024 volleyball season come to an end with a loss to Eastern Montgomery in the first round of the Pioneer District tournament last week. The girls dropped a three-set match to the Mustangs, 25-7, 25-12 and 25-11, in Elliston.

With the loss the Rockets ended their season with a 2-15 record. Parry McCluer won the Pioneer District tournament, defeating Narrows in five sets in the championship match. The Blues lost the first two sets, 25-17 and 25-21, but rallied to win the next three and take the match, 27-25, 26-24 and 15-12.

The All-Pioneer District team will be decided this week. Check next week’s New Castle Record for Craig County girls named to the team.
