Craig County Historical Society is busy preparing for the 41st Craig County Fall Festival on Oct. 12.

A fundraising dinner was held recently at the Old Brick Hotel featuring ham, hot rolls and homemade desserts. Sixty-one meals were sold, and a good time was said to be had by all.
Restoration work is progressing on the Clifton Elmore store building next door to the hotel. Expenses for water and sewer hook-up were provided by an anonymous donor and shelving is being planned where numerous vintage country store items will be displayed.
The porch floor of the hotel is being cleaned and painted this week.
