The Roanoke College women’s soccer team’s schedule has been released. The Maroons will have a challenging set of non-conference games on the docket in addition to Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) competition.

“Our 2024 schedule will be one of the most competitive in the region,” said head coach Phil Benne. “Outside of the ODAC schedule, we have six non-conference teams that competed in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, starting with our opening match at Emory University.  The strength of this schedule will prepare us not only for the rigors of the ODAC but will also provide the level needed to reach the NCAA tournament. With 25 players returning from our 2023 roster, this group has been focused and challenged to compete at the highest level.”

The Maroons open at Emory University on August 31 in Atlanta and face Oglethorpe University the next day. Roanoke hosts Hardin Simmons University and Johns Hopkins University for the Roanoke Invitational September 7-8 in Donald J. Kerr Stadium in a classic that also features the University of Lynchburg.

Conference play begins September 28 at home against Sweet Briar College on Family Weekend. Senior Day is set for October 19 against Eastern Mennonite University.

The ODAC Tournament begins November 5 with the semifinals November 8 and the finals November 10.
