The Craig County basketball teams return to the court today, January 3rd, with home-and-home non-district games against Giles. The girls will be at Pearisburg while the boys are home with a jayvee game at 5:30 pm and the varsity to follow.

The boys will be back in action Thursday with their second game of a back-to-back, and it’s a home game against Bath County. It will be a triple-header on Thursday as the jayvee girls will open the action with a game against Bath County at 5 pm. The boys’ jayvee game is scheduled for 6:15 pm on Thursday with the boys’ varsity to get underway around 7:30 pm.

Next Monday, January 8, the boys will head to Elliston for a Pioneer District game with Eastern Montgomery. A night later, on January 9, the Mustang girls will come to New Castle.

Next Thursday, January 11, the girls will be in Vinton for a game with William Byrd that was postponed from December 18. Then, on Friday January 12, the girls are at Parry McCluer and the Rocket boys will host the Blues in New Castle.

Left to right, Jaycob Wolfe(#2), Hayden Reynolds(#33), Drew Duncan(#34) and Talon Ritter(#10) defend the paint for the Rockets.
