Craig County students are running for Snow King and Queen and all of the funds raised will go towards the Craig County Community Christmas Program, to buy gifts for 81 kids in the county. Jars are set up in different stores in Craig and the guy and girl who raises the most will be crowned King and Queen in the high school and Prince and Princess in the middle school. All funds go to this wonderful project where CCHS JVG has committed to buy gifts for 13 of these students. Coach Jayke Dowdy and wife, Morgan, are organizing the Winter Wonderland Dance on Friday, Dec. 1; tickets are $12. The court nominees include: Snow King and Queen – 9th grade: Kailyn Jones and Wyatt Huffman, 10th grade: McKenna All and Ian Morris, 11th grade: Brooklyn Cayton and Carter Givens, and 12th grade: Lily Hutchison, Randalyn Taylor, Tyler Fitzpatrick and Isaac Caldwell. For Snow Prince and Princess; 6th grade: Makenna Blankenship and Jordon Harris, 7th grade: Maren All and Bryson Smith and 8th grade: Kaleigh Darnell and Blake Kendall.
