5th Quarter rally for students offered lots of fun

The 5th quarter event after the homecoming game on Sept. 29, which was sponsored by Cornerstone Church in New Castle seemed to be a hit for the Craig County students as about 50 enjoyed 24 feet of subs from Mac and Bob’s, Chick-fil-A chicken tenders and cookies and Bojangles, while participating in games like “Is it truth or is it poop?” The boys and girls battled against each other, rolling out toilet paper to wager their answers. The girls were ahead by at least a roll and a half and lost the last question, giving the game to the boys. Afterwards, DJ David Givens played their requested songs to dance to.

The favorite game seemed to be the shaving cream charades game where each group (boys and girls) had two teams, one to draw and one to guess the drawing. David Brown, youth pastor, gave them a word and the team who drew the picture in the shaving cream and guessed first was the winner.

The girls won the shaving cream contest by a landslide as their guessing team was fast at the answers. Though the shaving cream was for the game, a few enjoyed sharing it with their friends. Teens are welcome to join their youth group in their next few months of Bible study, on Wednesday nights, and bring their doubts, their questions of why or what to believe and their fears as they find answers. Each will receive a leather-bound Bible. PHOTOS BY PAM DUDDING.
