Born on August 5, 1951, Ohmer Wayne Greenway, 71, was surrounded by family when he went home to be with his Savior Sunday, June 4, 2023.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Ohmer Frank and Della Mae Greenway; mother-in-law, Ruby Wolfe; brothers, Buford Greenway and J.C. Greenway; sister, Thelma Howard; sister-in-law Linda Greenway; brothers-in-law, Sonny Howard and Henry Hutchinson; daughter-in-law, Missy Wright.
Left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 50 years, Shelia Greenway; daughter, Crystal Keene (Mark); son, Allen Wright; grandchildren, Shanna Looney (Craig), CJ Wright, Skylor Wright, Alexis Andrews, and Dakota Broughman; great-grandchildren, Brook, Chloe, and Vivian; sister, Barbara Hutchinson; brother, Dennis Greenway; sister-in-law, Wanda Wolfe. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Salem for many years and had a deep love for his church family. Wayne was a simple man who loved his family and the Lord with all his heart.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, June 8 at Paitsel Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Counts officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the service 2-3 p.m. Interment will follow at the Greenway Family Cemetery, New Castle, VA.
