Lorraine Hattie Sparks Smith, 87 of New Castle, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, February 12, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reece & Louise Day Sparks; former husband and best friend, Lester Smith; son, Lloyd Smith; father-in-law, Thomas Smith; mother-in-law, Belle Smith Rhodes; son-in-law, Thomas Lewandoski; her brothers and a sister.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Deborah English and Linda Lewandoski, New Castle; granddaughter, Elizabeth Wilcher (Chris), Troutville; great-grandson, Rylan Wilcher; sister, Ruby Joyce, North Royalton, OH; and many nieces & nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Richfield Rehabilitation Center and Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Paitsel Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Huffman Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
