The homecoming court couples stood at the yard lines last week waiting for the announcement of the 2022 homecoming king and queen. When the names Grant Oliver and Alexis “Lexxy” Brookman were called, there were lots of cheers. They were crowned, given their sashes and Brookman received a bouquet. Oliver shared, “I feel that it is a special experience that if anyone has the opportunity to do it, it is fun! I am thankful for the people who made it happen.” Brookman added, “It has been a dream honestly, for a long time! My aunt who unfortunately passed away from COVID always told me I would win and now I can remember her by that. It will definitely hold a special place in my heart as one of my favorite high school memories! Also, I wish to thank everyone who voted for me!”
