Rita J. Springer went to fly with the angels on February 8, 2021. She was born June 11, 1940, in Bluefield, VA, to Roy and Fanny Blankenship. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Springer; infant daughter, Cara Springer; brothers, Maynard Blankenship, Kenneth Blankenship; and sister, Alpha Jean Hancock.

She is survived by her sister, Janice Hannah; sister-in-law, Erilene Lenzer; daughter, Teresa Springer; two sons, Craig Springer and Shawn Springer; daughter-in-law, Crystal Springer; and her greatest joy, her two grandsons, Luke Springer and Thomas Springer.

A Graveside Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 14, at Huffman Memorial Park in New Castle with Pastor Bill Frazier officiating.
