The local fire departments work diligently every day to provide the best equipment so they can respond as quickly and as efficiently as possible for their community citizens.
The Upper Craig Creek Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a spaghetti dinner in hopes to raise funds for their fire departments’ needs.
On February 27, they will offer a spaghetti dinner which will include spaghetti, garlic bread, dessert and a drink for a $10 donation.
It will be held at their station at 4296 Upper Craigs Creek Road in Catawba. Due to the COVID-19 stipulations, the plate will be takeout only.
Preorders will be taken through their Facebook page or by phone and people are encouraged to reserve their meals in advance.
Also, the UCCVFD is hoping to increase its membership this year and is looking for interested community members.
“We are looking for volunteers to be there to help neighbors during their time of need,” they expressed. “Do you have the drive to help out in your community?”
Interested individuals can contact one of their members, via Facebook at Upper Craig Creek Volunteer Fire Department or leave a message after calling (540) 864-6087.
If anyone would like to donate, they can be mailed to UCCVFD, P.O. Box 322, Catawba, Va. 24070.
The UCCVFD sends their appreciation in advance for any who may donate and look forward to seeing many at the spaghetti fundraiser.
