Small businesses are still battling the coronavirus effects to keep their head above water.

Recently, Mike and Richard Carper had to change their gasoline company, as CITGO is moving out of the Southwest Virginia market.

Mike shared that CITGO fuel would have to be trucked from Greensboro if they would have stayed with that company.

“Exxon is a Red White and Blue company. It’s totally controlled and USA made,” he said.

Of course, they had to make some major changes with the pumps and the back-office software.

He added, “There were a few challenges with the conversion, but we worked through those and we are running smoothly now.”

CITGO gas gift cards, however, can still be honored. “If a customer has a gift card, we will issue an Exxon Gift Card to replace it,” Mike said.

Customers will need to download the new Exxon Mobil App to collect and redeem their points for every purchase.

“They can also pay for fuel, right from the app,” Mike said before adding, “Customers can download the free ExxonMobil app and begin using it immediately.”

The free gas coupons from Food Country will continue to be honored as well.

Mike continued, “We will also honor all manufacturer coupons and digital coupons at both of our locations, the IGA Express Exxon and The Gopher Market.”

The roller grill is open again, serving hot dogs, tornadoes and corndogs, all with the option of Carol’s homemade chili.

Store hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m., Friday from 5 a.m. until 11 p.m., Saturday 6 a.m. until 11 p.m. and Sunday 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. The pumps are open 24/7.

The Carpers wished to thank the citizens of Craig for being such dedicated patrons of their businesses. “We thank you and are happy to see you every time you come in,” they said.
