The Craig County girls had a dominating performance in sweeping a softball doubleheader from Bath County last week. The girls won 13-0 and 12-0 in Bath County.

Maddy Oliver had a grand slam home run against Bath County.

Maggie Huffman pitched a complete game one-hit shutout in the opener, and Kaylee Pauley did the same in the nightcap. Both games were four inning affairs.

At the plate, Craig hit three home runs on the day. Maddy Oliver had a grand slam home run in the first game while Pauley had a home run and a triple for the Rockets. Keiley Dudding had two hits for Craig.

In the second game Tierrney Zysk sent one over the fence to pace the Rockets. Mackenzie Hutchinson added two doubles as the Rocket offense hit on all cylinders for the sweep.

With the two wins Craig improved to 5-1 on the season and the Rockets have a busy schedule coming up. They were scheduled to play at Parry McCluer on Tuesday, followed by a home game against Eastern Montgomery on Thursday. Next Monday, May 14, the Rockets are at Covington for a Pioneer District doubleheader.
