Beautiful blue skies welcomed many citizens to the Ag Safety Day where many machines were on full display with people ready to answer any questions. Free hot dogs with chips and cookies were provided to all.The Virginia Cooperative Extension of Virginia Tech along with the Farm Bureau and Botetourt Regional Cattlemen’s Association joined forces on Sunday, April 15, to provide the citizens with an Ag Safety Day. The Catawba Sustainability Center hosted the event. Many demonstrations were given including: Skid steer, ATV, Lawn tractor, Farm Tractor/PTO and Chainsaw.
