The middle school basketball season is over and the Craig County boys’ team finished with a winning record. The Rockets were 5-4 overall.
Four eighth graders have now been elevated to the junior varsity team for the remainder of the high school season, and two are starting, Colton Moore and Dylan Crawford. The jayvees are 2-3 after five games.
This year the jayvees are naming a weekly “Best Leader” and “Most Improved” player. In the past week Moore and Josh Menezes tied for the Best Leader Award and Thomas Labiosa was chosen as Most Improved. The awards are voted on by a secret ballot among the players.
