Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) recently promoted Ninth District locations participating in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 28. Congressman Griffith issued the following statement:

“Unused prescription drugs can be dangerous. They may be ingested accidentally or abused by people struggling with addiction. National Prescription Drug Take Back Day helps make communities safer by collecting surplus drugs for proper disposal. I thank the local law enforcement agencies that are hosting collection sites and urge everyone with unused prescription drugs to take advantage of this chance to safely dispose of them.”

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, the following sponsors at these locations in Virginia’s Ninth District will collect unused prescription drugs:

Market Street Pharmacy Parking Lot
317 Market Street
New Castle, VA 24127

Salem Police Department

Super Shoes Front Parking Lot
1838 West Main Street
