Tresa Lynn Altizer, 59 of Fernandina Beach, Florida formerly of Radford, Virginia passed away after an extended illness.
She was a hardworking, strong, independent woman who loved life, the beach, seafood and her rescue dog, Geraldine . She graduated with a degree in business from Radford University.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jackie Dodd. She is survived by her son Mathew Altizer; mother, Ella Roop; sisters, Sharon Smith, Donna Underwood and husband, James, Marie Dowdy and husband, Ron; her brother, Mike Smith; father, Bob Smith and wife, Myrna Smith; several nieces, nephews and her very supportive friends, Sonyan Jones, Donna Lott and Penny Morgan-Jones.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 4 -6 p.m. at Open Door Baptist Church in Christiansburg Virginia with service to follow.
